BLACKPINK Becomes Only K-Pop Group Honoured on Billboard’s ‘Greatest Pop Stars of 2025’ List
Global K-pop sensation BLACKPINK has secured a rare distinction by becoming the only K-pop group to receive an Honourable Mention on Billboard’s “Greatest Pop Stars of 2025” list.
The recognition comes at a high point for the four-member group — Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa — who are preparing to release their third mini-album, “Deadline,” later this month, following a widely successful comeback tour.
BLACKPINK’s inclusion places them alongside some of the biggest names in Western pop music, including Ariana Grande, Beyoncé, Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber, SZA, ROSALÍA, and Chappell Roan, highlighting their crossover impact beyond the K-pop industry.
According to Billboard, BLACKPINK had an influential 2025 both as a group and as solo artists. Their track “Jump” broke into the top 30 of the Hot 100, while the group’s tour reaffirmed their global pull and solidified their reputation as one of the most influential pop acts worldwide.
The Billboard honour has been widely celebrated by fans, known as BLINKs, across social media. BLACKPINK continues to set new milestones in the music industry, proving that K-pop acts can achieve global recognition alongside established Western artists.
